A guest can request a new date/time for an experience by sending a booking request to the host.
Rules on a Booking Request
- The new date/time a guest can request has to be 24 hours before the payment deadline. The payment deadline is the same as the experience's cancellation deadline, which is set by a host for each experience, and this information is included in the listing. Please see the example below on how to figure out the deadline.
- If the guest does not receive a response from the host within 72 hours after the request submission or if the payment deadline passes before the host replies, the request automatically becomes void.
- The guest can cancel the booking request anytime as long as the request has not been approved or rejected by the host yet. Please see the section "Canceling the Request" in this article for more details.
Example of Determining the Booking Deadline:
If 1)a guest wants to request Tuesday, January 25th and; 2) The cancellation deadline for the experience is "5:00 pm, 2 days prior to the event", the cancellation deadline (= payment deadline) will be 5:00 pm on Sunday January 23rd. Therefore, the guest has to send the request by 4:59 pm on Saturday, January 22nd, which is 24 hours prior to the cancellation deadline.
