As a host, you can decide if you accept or decline the booking requests. To do so, you have to turn on "Accept All Bookings" under the listing settings.
In order to turn on the "Accept All Bookings" setting, please follow the steps below:
- Open your browser and log in to helloaini.com
- Click on the icon for your account information (located in the upper right corner)
- If you are accessing from your PC, select "Dashboard". If you are accessing from an app, you can skip this step.
- Select "Host Menu"
- Go to "Manage Experiences"
- Select the experience to modify, then click "Edit"
- Click on the "Advanced Settings" tab and check/uncheck the "Turn on" box for "Accept All Bookings*"
*The "Accept All Bookings" box is checked under the default settings.
When "Accept All Bookings" is Turned on
When "Accept All Bookings" is turned on, all bookings will be automatically accepted, and you can't choose if you would accept or decline each booking.
In this case, when a guest makes a booking, it will be reflected in the Booking Information and be counted toward the number of participants for the event. You can check the Booking Information by following the steps below:
- Open your browser and log in to helloaini.com
- Click on the icon for your account information (located in the upper right corner)
- If you are accessing from your PC, select "Dashboard". If you are accessing from an app, you can skip this step.
- Select "Host Menu"
- Go to "Event Calendar" then click the date
- Click "Booking Information"
When "Accept All Bookings" is Turned off
When "Accept All Bookings" is turned off, the bookings will not be automatically accepted, instead, you have to decide if you accept or decline the booking requests. However, if you do not accept/decline the booking requests by the cancellation deadline, the system will automatically accept the bookings.
When you have booking requests to respond to, the message below will appear in the To-Do List under the Dashboard:
"You have received a Booking Request from XXX*. Please accept or decline the request."
*This will be the nickname of the user who made the request.
Click the part "Booking Request" in the message to open a new page, then accept or decline the request.
Rules for Accepting Booking Requests
- When you don't accept/decline the booking requests by the cancellation deadline, the system will automatically accept all requests.
- When you receive a booking request past the cancellation deadline, you have to accept/decline by the booking deadline. If you don't accept/decline the request before the booking deadline, the system will automatically accept the request.
How to Accept the Booking Requests
When you have unresponded booking requests, they will appear in the To-Do List under the dashboard. To accept the request, please follow the steps below:
- Open your browser and log in to helloaini.com
- Click on the icon for your account information (located in the upper right corner)
- If you are accessing from your PC, select "Dashboard". If you are accessing from an app, you can skip this step.
- Select "Host Menu" > "Event Calendar" > Click the date > "Booking Information" Click the guest to accept" > Click the "Accept the Request" button
How to Decline the Booking Requests
When you have unresponded booking requests, they will appear in the To-Do List under the dashboard. To decline the request, please follow the steps below:
- Open your browser and log in to helloaini.com
- Click on the icon for your account information (located in the upper right corner)
- If you are accessing from your PC, select "Dashboard". If you are accessing from an app, you can skip this step.
- Select "Host Menu" > "Event Calendar" > Click the date > "Booking Information" Click the guest to accept" > Click the "Decline the Request" button
After clicking the "Decline the Request" button, the following message will appear:
"Once you decline the request, the process can't be undone. Please ensure to communicate with the user who made the request about why you are not accepting the booking. If you are ready to finish, click the button below."
Once declining the booking request is completed, the booking will be canceled.
Examples: Good Reasons for You to Decline a Booking
- "To ensure safety and security for all guests, I need to ask you to provide your phone number upon booking this event."
- "It is important for me to know about my guests prior to hosting an event, therefore I only accept booking requests from users who have filled in their profiles."
How a User Receives a Refund When the Request Is Declined
When you decline a booking request, the money will be refunded to the user just as when the booking is canceled.
