Aini has two types of fees that guests and hosts may pay:
- Host fee (service fee paid by a host)
- Guest fee (service fee paid by a guest)
Fees will occur only when the events take place. No fee will be charged if an event is canceled either by a host or a guest.
Definitions of Terms:
- Price: The rate set by a host, including tax
- Sales: Price minus the host service fee
Host Service Fee
There are three types of booking channels, and the host service fee varies at either 18% or 0% depending on the channel through which a guest books an experience.
1. Regular Booking
When a guest books an experience hosted by you for the first time and the booking is through the regular Aini website (not through a promotional URL), it is considered a regular booking. In this case, an 18% host service fee will be automatically deducted.
2. Repeat Booking
When a repeat guest books any of the experiences you host, it is considered a repeat booking. The host service fee for a repeat booking is 0%.
3. Booking through a Promotional URL
When a guest books an experience through a host’s promotional URL, it is considered a booking via a promotional URL. For a booking through a promotional URL, the host service fee also becomes 0%.
In order to get a 0% host service fee using a promotional URL,
- A guest must book an experience through the promotional URL within 3 days of opening the URL for the first time.
- If the guest is new to Aini, member registration has to be done through the same browser in which the promotional URL is being opened.

How a Price Will Be Displayed on the Sales Management Page
When an experience is held, the sales amount (the price minus the 18% host service fee) will be displayed on the sales management page. For example, if the price is set at ¥3,000, the list price is also ¥3,000, and the sales will be ¥2,460.
