The host may receive any additional fees incurred on the day of the experience directly from the guest. Payment methods can be cash or a payment platform such as PayPal.
Examples:
- A guest decided to purchase additional materials for the workshop on the day of the event.
- Guests brought their family members who had not made paid reservations. They want to make last-minute sign-ups and pay for the additional guests.
When you collect payments directly from the guests on the day of the event, you will not be charged for the service fees. However, any transactions made outside our system will not be supported or mediated by us.
Please note that collecting payments directly from the guests prior to the event date is prohibited. Please see Prohibited Practices #2 for more details.
Advantages of Using Our Payment System
We recommend both hosts and guests use our system, for making payment transactions for it will give them peace of mind.
For example, even when a guest cancels an experience at the last minute, after the last day to cancel an event, the host can receive a cancellation fee as long as the transaction is made via our system.
Also, guests can benefit from making transactions using our system because it will be automatically covered by our protection program.
When a guest wants to participate in an experience on the day of the event, after the reservation deadline has passed, you may receive a payment directly from the guest or via our transaction system.
If you prefer to make a payment using our system, please contact us to provide the guest and event information. The administration will collect the fee from the guest, and then the sales amount will be transferred to your account for a payout.
By using our system to receive fees for last-minute signups on the day of the event, you can view and keep track of the total number of attendees or sales on our system.
