It is unsafe to look at or operate a smartphone or any device while driving. During an online event, both hosts and guests should not drive a car or motorcycle, etc., or ride a bicycle.
Examples of Unsafe Use of Devices While Driving:
- Talking on a mobile phone
- Holding a device such as a smartphone, flip phone, tablet, etc. in the hand and gazing at the screen
Hands-free talking is not punishable under the "Road Traffic Law," but may be a violation under prefectural ordinances. For safety reasons, Aini prohibits all driving during an online event, including the hands-free operation of a device using earphones.
If You Need to Ride a Vehicle During an Online Event
If you want to hold an online event that requires riding a vehicle (e.g., online city tour, etc.) be sure to assign a driver in addition to a person who facilitates the event.
Please take traffic safety seriously, respect rules, and conduct an accident-free event.
