The Possible Scenarios and Solutions
Scenario 1
You received a booking request, but the system does not let you register the event date/time the guest requested for.
Solution
You are unable to add an event date most likely because it falls past the cancellation deadline. So if the system does not allow you to add a new event date/time, you have two options to consider–you can either adjust the cancellation deadline to a later date, or you can lower the minimum number of guests required for the event.
Adjusting the Cancellation Deadline to Later Date
- From the "Host Menu," select "Manage Experiences."
- Choose the experience you want to modify and click "Edit."
- Select the "Basic Settings" tab.
- Find the cancellation deadline setting and adjust it to the later date
Lowering the Minimum Number of Guests
- From the "Host Menu," select "Manage Experiences."
- Choose the experience you want to modify and click "Edit."
- Select the "Basic Settings" tab.
- Find the minimum number of guests setting and make it to zero and then add a new event date.
Scenario 2
You may not receive enough bookings to meet the minimum number of guests required by the deadline, and it appears that you may have to cancel the event. You want to know what steps to take to prevent this from happening.

Scenario 3
You want to extend the cancelation deadline to get more bookings. For example, the present deadline is scheduled for 5:00 pm seven days before the event date; however, you want to move it to 5:00 pm three days before the deadline.
Solution
Follow these steps to extend the deadline:
- Go to the "Host Menu" and select "Calendar".
- Click on the date of the event you want to edit
- Click on "Event Information" and select "Edit."
- From "Cancelation Deadline", you can change the deadline date and time.
Don't Forget to Remind Your Guest About the Cancellation Deadline
If you do not receive the minimum number of bookings by the cancelation deadline, the event will be automatically canceled. So if you receive a booking inquiry just before the deadline, please remind the guest to make a booking before the deadline. You may also consider extending the deadline to provide more time for the guest to complete the booking process.
